> enquiries ![]() Deep Feminine - Deep Masculine The WorkshopLiving in Love and Honour was conceived as the natural successor to the special times we previously set aside - formally or informally - to be women together or men together. From those times we have developed and learned about our own sex. Now it is time to fully re-acquaint ourselves with, and learn about, one another. This reacquainting cannot take place in discussion groups or therapy where the focus is on the intellect or on healing. It must take place in the deep ritual spaces of our hearts since it is the heart that is the lasting symbol of the way we are together. The workshop begins with remembering and deepening our trust in ourselves. Men spend time with men and women with women - talking, exploring, communicating, laughing and reaffirming what we know so that trust grows. The trust in ourselves provides a foundation from which to go and meet the other - really meet the other - freed from the normal imperatives of our culture. The trust in the other as well as ourselves gives the freedom to answer their curiosity from a place of utter truth – and in so doing learn more about ourselves. Knowing and meeting in ritual space allows the kind of deep experience yearned for – and if we were lucky, sometimes experienced - in our teens but done with the wisdom and experience of being older. We come out of the experience knowing ourselves more deeply than ever before; recognising that we carry within us not one sex but two, and experiencing in that wholeness the recognition of the other where before there was separation. We come out of the sacred space knowing deep within ourselves the proper relationship with our own sex as well as that of the other, so that never again will we need to sell out our own truth in order to reach out to them. We can move forward and live together, or apart, in both love and honour. In that we also both love and honour our deepest self. “Unless Shiva be united to Shakti, he cannot produce even the flutter of well-being" |
